Workshops

During his years at the Toronto Food Policy Council, Wayne learned the ins and outs of many of the big food issues cities are facing now. He co-authored the first food charter adopted by a major city and worked to keep it relevant for over nine years. He played a leading role with two efforts to develop a comprehensive food strategy, and one to develop a comprehensive environmental strategy.

To share what he learned in these fields of theory, policy and action, Wayne offers both one- and two-day workshops for relatively small groups of engaged government officials and citizen leaders who are exploring the feasibility of food policy councils, food strategies and food charters.

An award-winning teacher and adult educator prior to working on food issues, Wayne shapes workshops that promote problem-solving skills alongside the content issues that people need to move forward effectively.
